LTO Training

Long Term Observers Training in Wolaita Sodo

We are supporting the Coalition of Ethiopian Civil Society Organizations for Election - CECOE's long-term observer’s training!

This training was held on November 28 – 29 with long-term observers from different parts of the SNNPR region in attendance. The LTOs training aims to increase the observers technical proficiency and their capacity to monitor the pre-referendum environment. It also aims to improve the integrity of the voter registration process for the upcoming referendum.

The method of long-term observation is more efficient because it allows the observation group to become familiar with the environment in which voting, registration, and counting take place.

LTOs can thus offer a more comprehensive assessment of referendum results and guidance on future improvements.

This workshop is being held with the contributions of the Royal Embassy of Denmark and Irish Aid as part of the Electoral Support to CECOE.
