Meeting with H.E. Ambassador Minata Samate

In the Framework of the ECES identification and formulation Mission in December, ECES' co-founder and Executive Director, Mr. Fabio Bargiacchi, had the pleasure to meet with H.E. Ambassador Minata Samate, the Commissioner for Political Affairs at the African Commission to discuss areas of mutual  collaboration between the two organisations in building sustainable electoral democracies across the African continent and explore the possibility of fruitful future cooperation.

Indeed, the AU and ECES share a mutual interest in improving governance by strengthening the integrity of electoral processes; preventing, managing and mitigating electoral violence; and enhancing the promotion of human rights, including by enhancing women political participation.

AU and ECES recognize their complementarity regarding the promotion of electoral integrity - of free, fair, transparent, democratic, and credible elections -, the prevention of electoral violence, and the enhancement of human rights.
