Police Training

Through the European Response to Electoral Cycle Support in Ethiopia – EURECS Ethiopia project, funded by the European Union and Germany; the European Centre for Electoral Support – ECES has implemented simultaneous police trainings in Addis Ababa, Adama, Bahirdar, Hawassa, Jigjiga, Semera, Diredawa, Benishangul and Gambella.

The training was facilitated by the Ethiopian Police University in collaboration with the National Electoral Board of Ethiopia – NEBE. A total of 500 trainees participated on the trainings conducted from 14 – 15 May, 2021.

With the overall objective of the EURECS - Ethiopia project to assist the National Election Board of Ethiopia with enhanced skills to deliver at their best capacity, this particular action seeks to contribute towards the integral role of law enforcement in maintaining a peaceful environment during an electoral cycle.
