The 15th International Electoral Symposium 2017

Under the Patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein, the 15th International Electoral Symposium and International Awards Ceremony was held on the 4th-6th of December 2017 at the Dead Sea, Jordan. The Symposium was organised by International Centre for Parliamentary Studies (ICPS), Independent Election Commission of Jordan (IEC) and European Centre for Electoral Support (ECES) in the context of the EU funded Programme ”EU Support to Jordanian Democratic Institutions & Development, EU JDID".

The Symposium brought together around 200 representatives from the electoral democracy community and election management bodies (EMBs) from around the Middle East and the rest of the world to share best practice initiatives and develop innovative strategies that they can then put into practice in their respective countries and regions.

The crowning event of the meeting, the International Electoral Awards Ceremony will recognize the work of the international electoral community by honoring their significant contribution to the democratic process on an international level.

ICPS held International Electoral Affairs Symposiums and International Electoral Awards ceremonies all over the world - from Malaysia, Mexico, Kenya, South Africa, Namibia, Jamaica, Mozambique and more. The last International Electoral Affairs Symposium held in 24th to 26th May 2017 in Sri Lanka, in cooperation with The Election Commission of Sri Lanka, registered with participants coming from over 35 different countries.
