LEAD Cascade Training
Leadership and Conflict Management Skills for Electoral Stakeholders (LEAD) is a learning tool used to strengthen the management and leadership abilities of electoral stakeholders and improve their conflict management skills while giving them the necessary resources and skills to replicate the key training contents in their own formal and informal networks, thereby enhancing sustainability. The LEAD program is built around the core values of inclusiveness and the value of exchanging specific experience and knowledge between electoral stakeholders. LEAD is a flexible learning tool that is customized according to the specific context and target group. It provides participants with the resources and skills needed to replicate the training and thus guaranteeing its sustainability.
Following the successful implementation of 2 LEAD Training for Trainers (ToT) held in Nairobi, in March and June 2022 respectively, the project is now organizing the cascade phase of the LEAD programs, which will be done in 8 regions/hotspot areas identified by NCIC. The 4 Cascade LEAD trainings have already been held in Nakuru, Mombasa, Vihiga and Uasin Gishu Regions and its environs. This exercise, which takes place in the context of the peer-to-peer knowledge sharing model envisioned by the LEAD program, is aimed at cascading the communication and leadership assets acquired during the first ToT.
