ECES Support to INEC Election Management System

The European Center for Electoral Systems (ECES) is in partnership with INEC and the center is providing electoral supports to the commission in order to enhance the quality of electoral processes in Nigeria. ECES is supporting INEC Election Management System (EMS) in leadup to the 2017 Anambra Governorship Election and organized two days EMS Red zone Implementers workshop which held November 6-7, 2017, Awka Anambra State where the implementation status of selected critical electoral activities were assessed in order to determine readiness for the Governorship Election, identify gaps in election plans and to plan the coordination of other electoral activities for the Election. The workshop had in attendance the ECES-Nigeria Project Director, Mr. David LeNotre, the Hon. REC, INEC Anambra, Dr. Nwachukwu Orji, the Chief Technical Adviser to INEC Chairman, Prof. Bolade Eyinla, the Special Adviser to the INEC Chairman, Prof. Mohammed J. Kuna, The Director Planning & Monitoring, Barr. Okechukwu Ndeche, two other Deputy Directors from the INEC headquarters and Electoral Officers from the state headquarters office and the 21 Local Government Areas of Anambra State.
