PLAC Legislative Internship Program

LEGISLATIVE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME (LIP)

Policy and Legal Advocacy Centre PLAC implements a 10-week long internship programme annually under the EU-SDGN project for young Nigerians who wish to gain knowledge of legislative practices and processes.

The program commenced with a 3-day induction programme to familiarize the interns with what to expect at the National Assembly and how to ensure they take the full advantage of the internship. The internship began with an opening ceremony, which had in attendance representatives from the European Union, Senator Ita Enang, Senator Shehu Sanni, Ms.Kate Henshaw, Prof. Okey Ibeanu amongst others.

The Orientation ceremony ended with a visit to the National Assembly where the interns got to visit the both Chambers and other parts of the National Assembly.
