PLAC Legislative Interns

The first bi-weekly training for the 2018 PLAC Legislative Interns took place at the Chelsea Hotel, Abuja on Monday March 5, 2018. The opening remarks were given by Ms. Laolu Olawumi, Program Manager, Governance (EU), who encouraged the interns to learn as much as they can and use the opportunity to improve on their professionalism and work ethics. The interns had discussions on the controversial Gender and Equal Opportunities Bill, the proposed amendments to the Electoral Act and the Not-Too-Young-To-Run Bill. The discussions were led by Ms. Eqy Anazonwu (Gender Technical Unit), Hon. Emeka Ughanze and Ms. Cymthia Mbamalu (YIAGA).
