Post - Election LEAD Reflection Workshop

The European Centre for Electoral Support in Ethiopia and its implementing partners organized a Post – Election Leadership and Conflict Management Skills for Electoral Stakeholders – LEAD workshop.

The workshop took place in the city of Arba Minch from November 18 to 20, 2021 for staff members of The Coalition of Ethiopian Civil Society Organizations for Elections – CECOE, a network of over 170 Ethiopian civil society organizations that came together to ensure civic participation in Ethiopia's sixth national and regional elections.

A review of the Legal Framework, a review of election observer reports recommendations, and a learning session from best practice on electoral reforms as well as several LEAD, electoral cycle and post-electoral phase activities were conducted.  This workshop seeks to contribute to the overall goal of the PEV – Ethiopia project, which is to help non-state actors address the fundamental causes of political and election-related violence and conflict in order to prevent, mitigate, and manage conflicts that may emerge during the post electoral cycle.

This action is implemented under the Prevention, Mitigation and Management of Electoral Conflicts and Potential Violence PEV-Ethiopia project, fully funded by the European Union.
