LEAD Training

Within the context of the PEV-Ethiopia project, fully funded by the EU, ECES along with its implementing partners organized a series of Five Leadership and conflict management Skills for Electoral Stakeholders – LEAD training for women candidates.

The trainings were held from March 23- April 16, 2021 in Addis Ababa, Diredawa, Hawassa and Bishoftu respectively. Over 150 Women candidates were drawn from registered national political parties creating a very diverse environment were topics of Leadership, Elections, Gender and Media were discussed.

The overall objective of these customized LEAD workshops is to look into ways in which women candidates from all over the country can expand their leadership skills, analyze their roles towards a peaceful election period and ensure their participation in building a strong democratic culture.
