Media Training
Within the context of #EU4Democracy in Ethiopia fully funded by the European Union, the PEV Ethiopia project has implemented two rounds of 2-day Leadership and Conflict Management Skills for Electoral Stakeholders Training (LEAD) to representatives of media houses from TV, radio, print and online outlets.
The first round training took place on 16th and 17th of October while the second round was held on 24 and 25 of October. This training is meant to equip the trainees with the necessary skills and knowledge to contribute to the improvement of the electoral process in Ethiopia. The training was more specifically aimed at improving knowledge of media representatives on the electoral law, regional standards on freedom of expression and strengthen the important role of journalists in prevention of electoral conflicts.
