NIMD

Since the start of the EU funded project last September NIMD supported four political parties dialogue facilitated by the National Electoral Board of Ethiopia (NEBE) on a range of reform agendas. During this time, the new electoral law has been enacted and on average 100 political parties were attending the meetings chaired by electoral board members and assigned facilitators. On top, NIMD has trained 88 political party senior officials on ‘dialogue and conflict resolution’ between 19 to 25 December 2019, in two sessions. The participants were drawn from 45 national and regional political parties including the newly formed ruling party. Out of the total trainees, 30 were female.
