The action works towards two interlinked outcomes:

• Reducing (violent) political conflict by bringing political parties together in a flexible and evolving political dialogue. This dialogue aims to increase inclusive political spaces and contribute to peaceful, credible elections and political reforms towards and beyond the scheduled 2020 elections.
• Strengthening the capacity of Ethiopian political parties on key democratic skills and culture through the ‘Ethiopian Democracy Academy’.
