Georgina is a full member of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) and before joining ECES had been working as an auditor, first with Ernst and Young and then in the International Institutions and Donor Assurance department of Moore Stephens LLP. She also had a short spell in Nigeria, working in the finance team of a cocoa processing company and training as a Pilates instructor. Since 2014 Georgina has been dedicated to improving the financial management of humanitarian aid and international development projects across the world, in places as diverse as Russia, Kenya, and the Caribbean and with a focus on conflict / post-conflict and politically sensitive environments including North Korea, South Sudan, Iraq, Kosovo, and Afghanistan.

 

Georgina has delivered contracts in Afghanistan for UNFPA UN Women, UNOPS and the European Commission, working with a range of organizations from Ministries to local NGOs, and she has a detailed knowledge of the rules and requirements of the European Commission and other international donors. Georgina has a BSc in Zoology and is currently working towards an MSc in Humanitarianism, Conflict, and Development with the University of Bath.
