Chigozirim Okoro is a Sound Development Professional with thirteen years of experience and currently Heads the Public Safety and Security Unit at CLEEN Foundation. She is the Program Manager of the Open Society Foundations funded Project on Improving Security Sector Accountability & Human Rights Compliance in the Prevention and Countering Violent Extremism in Nigeria. She is also the Program Manager of the European Union funded Project on Mitigating Electoral Violence for the 2018 Off Cycle and 2019 General Elections in Nigeria. She is the Team Lead Election Security Management Projects at CLEEN Foundation Headquarters and Program Manager of the DFID funded project on Promoting Public Safety and Security for the 2019 General Elections in Nigeria which involves Conduct of Pre-Election Security Threat Assessment for the 2017 Governorship Election in Anambra State; Conduct of Regional Security Threat Assessment in Twelve States of the Federation and Conduct of  Nation-wide Security Threat Assessment for the 2019 General Elections in Nigeria. She produced first to tenth editions of the nation-wide security threat assessments conducted by CLEEN Foundation for the 2015 general elections in Nigeria and worked assiduously for the successful execution of four election security management projects of CLEEN Foundation supported by the Mac-Arthur Foundation, UK Department for International Development (DFID), Open Society Initiative for West Africa (OSIWA) and Justice for All. She coordinated 2016 and 2017 state level interventions of CLEEN Foundation Election Security Management Project in Edo, Ondo, Rivers and Anambra states.
 

She led the implementation of the Ford Foundation funded project on Security & Governance in the North East & was Justice for All Consultant under Component Intervention Plan 1.4 that focused on Improving Voluntary Policing Groups in Nigeria. She was the National Coordinator of Altus Global Alliance an alliance of six International Organizations working from a multi-cultural perspective to improve public safety and security globally. She managed Police Station Visitors Week and other SSR Projects in Nigeria. She also Managed the Ford Foundation Regional Project on Responding to Conflicts and Security Sector Governance in West Africa. Her areas of expertise are broad and includes-Election Security Management; Democracy, Governance; Migration, Security Sector Reform/Accountability; Public Safety, PCVE; Gender Inclusion in SSR; Research; Conflict Prevention, Resolution, Management & Peace-Building.
