Amal Abu-Jeries is the Head of EU JDID- Component 3. She started with EU-JDID as a project leader. Amal acts as the head of component and provides strategic direction and oversight to all work related to EU-JDID Component 3. She cooperates with the other two components in the project namely; ECES (electoral assistance) and WFD (parliamentary support), ensures regular communications with MOPPA’s focal point and the steering committee assigned for this project, represents Component 3 and NIMD within the PMU and other entities such as in management meetings among others as needed, engages with the team to provide problem-solving support, and facilitates decision-making and consensus building as part of a team.

 

She was working as a Program Manager at Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung from April 2014 till June 2019. She was responsible for the activities related to political development, political Islam, and Trade Unions profiles. She holds a Master's Degree in Diplomatic Studies from "Prince Al Hussein Bin Abdullah II School of International Studies"- University of Jordan, Amman-Jordan, in May 2014. She graduated from the University of Jordan, Amman with a Bachelor's Degree in Foreign Languages (German- English) , in June 2009. Prior joining FES, she worked with the Embassy of the Republic of Austria in Jordan.
