Rob van Leeuwen is NIMD's programme manager for the Middle East and North Africa. In this capacity he is responsible for component 3 of the project (support to the political party system). He has several years of experience managing projects and programmes in international development. As programme manager for MENA, his responsibilities include programme design and management, monitoring & evaluation, proposal drafting, strategic relations and political context analysis.
 

Before joining NIMD, Rob worked at the Centre for the Promotion of Imports from Developing Countries (CBI), an agency of the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He holds a Master of Arts (cum laude) in History (Political Culture & National Identities) and a Master of Arts in Southeast Asian Studies, both from Leiden University.
